She has good bones!

So our project starts off with a 1984 Coleman popup camper. "So were already on a good start." What wasn't better in the 80's?" Great bands, big hair, big shoulder pads and Miami Vice. Yet I degress. She has seen a lot of miles and been around the block but its a good foundation for our project. I found the unit thru a co-worker. She and her hubby had used it for several years but decided it was time for an upgrade. After consultation with my fellow tailgaters we made an offer and she accepted. She advise that there was some slight leaks and the interior was a little dated but for our project no big deal. Money was exchanged and the popup came to her new home to start the transformation.

So why a popup versus a trailer? Well first of all trailers are insane price wise and the more bells and whistles the higher the tag. "Money that could be spent on beer." We also wanted something inviting and welcoming to our fellow tailgaters, not just something to store everything in. While we could have done great things with a trailer I think our popup project will be more fun and the ending result will meet our expectations.
