I have a girlfriend and her name is Quaratina.

So its April 4th 2020 and with my fellow brothers and sisters in Georgia and quite frankly most of America, Were under quarantine. Which means one thing I'm bored. What to do, what to do. Hell work on the dadgum popup.

So as discussed before the crew decided that the dated sink and stove top needed to go. Were not going to have access to a fresh water supply and the stove is rather small for tailgating. Besides we don't want the other tailgaters laughing at us for grilling on a stove top. Now the question is what to put in its place. Time to go hit the wood pile and come up with a plan

So I'm thinking to replace the stove with some kind of custom wood top. The width was some kind of crazy# like 18 an 3/32's. So took several pieces of wood, whip out the kreg jig, gorilla glue, saw, sanding cussing and now I have 18 and 3/32's. Was thinking about just staining each piece different and go with that.........well again I'm home bound so I thought lets go something a little different and different would be an avant-garde Owl. So lets see if this ends with hot damn or fire wood.

So did a funky sketch of an attacking owl with my favorite tool in life a carpenter pencil. Yeah its different but so far kind of digging it.

Did the outline with a wood burner then added some accents with a torch. Well I have gone this far and haven't thrown it away yet. Guess I will just continue and see how it ends up.

So here we have it, the almost finished product. Going to put a bar top epoxy on it for durability. Think stain with polycoat but 70 times thicker. It comes in two parts and you have to mix it forever and a day but the ending result makes the effort worth it. Well I like it. Let me know what you think.
