A little "tongue" action
Okay people don't get excited this is not that kind of blog. Decide to put a polish on the tongue of the pop up today.
I know nobody is really going to pay to much attention to it but the chips in the paint and the rust was starting to bug me. Decided to go with a product called chassis saver. Its a cool paint because there is no need to take anything down to the metal. It acts like a shield and not only stops the rust but prevents it from coming back. My kind of product.
So even though I didn't have to do so I took a sand pad to some of the rougher spots. Removed the chains and got ready to remove the remnants of the old jack. Found out real quickly the old stand is welded on, so she will be staying on for the time being and who knows might find a use for it. Besides its not really hurting anything.
So here we go. Didn't turn out to bad and the high gloss black really pops. After it dried I figured I really did waste my time removing rust. This stuff goes on almost like an epoxy and flat out bonds to anything. I decided I'm going to use it on the undercarriage also.
But hey what about the roof? Yeah I kind of left everyone hanging on with that one didn't I? Well I'm proud to report work is progressing on it. Just taking it a step at a time. I will throw you one pic of the update but that's it. You just have to wait till its completed.
So everything is going smooth so far. If you have any questions or advice send away.
