Don't be "yellowing" at me!

Alright time to start on the bottom of this tailgate machine. The black top popped and now we needed to get the bottom to stand out. We picked out a great yellow from Monstaliner that closely match KSU colors. In fact its pretty much a dead on match. This project was handle by Mr Stuart Blencoe "young man in the blue shirt" and myself.

Fortunately for our self's I'm lucky enough to have access to a front end loader so we could lift the project up and save our backs some aches and pains.

We had to start with a good bit of elbow grease to remove the clear coat and give our paint something to grab onto. The cool thing about this product is there is no need to have to take it down to the primer or the base of the steel. Just need to scuff up the surface. After we addressed all of the panels with a scuff pad, we then went over the entire surface with a grease and glue remover.

When the surface looked good it was time for a final once over with some Acetone and tape up of the lights and trim. So after two coats,"maybe three" touchup's and several hours later we have a bottom that looks good as the top. She's looking good.
